Using the maintenance script, removeUnusedAccounts.php will delete 'User:Abuse filter' because user is never credited with at least 1 edit.

Test, run from command line ../maintenance/removeUnusedAccounts.php without --delete parameter and Abuse filter will show up in out. Use --delete parameter and User:Abuse filter is deleted from users table.

Trival? Minor maybe but I wouldn't call it trival.

As one extension used to combat spam, it should play nice with maintenance scripts used to do the same. A more detailed explanation of what the purpose of the User:Abuse filter does for the extension is needed too.

What version of MediaWiki are you using? This should have been fixed when bug 34581 was fixed.

I tested it on Version 1.19.3.

I just checked the other report and looked at the file and I see the patch to ignore accounts with log records, but from the best I can tell it was never merged into the 1.19 branch. Perhaps I'm wrong but there is also no mention of it on the 1.19 version release page referencing bug 34581 being fixed in any of the 1.19.x releases.

My work around was to create a new user, edit once with user then merge with Abuse filter user.

Patch went into git master in December 2012 and no signs of backporting, hence likely still an issue in 1.19. You could set the "Backport_to_Stable" flag above the "?" if this is considered an important bugfix.
