Description Lydia Pintscher 2013-03-09 12:44:19 UTC
It seems impossible to remove the statement with property P156 from http://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q12418. Error messagte says:
"An error occurred while trying to perform remove and because of this, your changes could not be completed." and the details message says "Failed to save the change".
Comment 1 Zoloinwiki 2013-03-23 09:29:42 UTC
That is P:165, not 156 ;).

The error message has changed to:
A length constraint is triggered for language code "mr". * There is {{PLURAL:1|a constraint|constraints}} violation for {{PLURAL:1|description|descriptions}} "मोनालिसा ह..." for {{PLURAL:1|language code|language codes}} "mr".

Note that it gives the same message when I delete or restore the property.

Same thing in Q664? P49

I removed the mr description and then the property could be removed.
Comment 5 Alexandr Ignatiev 2013-04-15 15:15:13 UTC
With property 49 and New Zeland, I've truncated the pl description and it started to work. Before I did, I could remove pl sitelink but could not rollback myself. So this behaviour is overcomeable but weird.
Comment 6 Lydia Pintscher 2013-10-08 15:42:20 UTC
I am closing this as it is not useful at the moment to keep it around. We have another bug for improving the constraint violation check that is the source of the issue here.
