I checked my Japanese version, it did not show any problems with non-latin characters or broken Html.

Something seems ought in the examples cited both the Chinese and the English text is displayed (take aside the broken Html) when in fact only one language text should be displayed.

Using:

MediaWiki 1.21alpha (1f9a3ee)
PHP 5.4.7
Semantic MediaWiki (Version 1.9 alpha) (18ff30c)
