Description Nemo 2013-03-11 05:14:09 UTC
Phase I broke the workflow for adding interwiki links on Commons (and any other wiki), see URL: there needs to be a way in the UI to get human-readable wikitext with the list of interlanguage wikilinks in the usual, interoperable syntax.

Most obvious place would be the end of the edit window, after the edittools, either before the templates or after the categories: consumer page https://it.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Galileo_Galilei&action=edit#Standard would have a line "This page contains 146 interlanguage links" linking to a special page (local or on the repo) providing the needed wikitext and maybe also copying it to clipboard.

Another solution would be to turn on Phase I on Commons. Many toolserver tools (Jarry1250's Template transclusion counter http://toolserver.org/~jarry/templatecount/index.php comes to mind) support only Wikipedias and Commons by pretending that commons is one of the languages.

Phase 1 is now live on Commons
