We want a short url to the sign up page to make it easier for users to signup and to make it simpler to share the signup page.

Just to confirm: changing the URLs is not something we did in the version we're soft launching this week. It's good additional enhancement to consider though.

Well, we aren't changing the URL, just providing a shortlink that can redirect to it. It makes it easier to share.
