Since Extension:RSS 2.0 is now deployed to MediaWiki.org, if you agree, I suggest you allow links to be rendered as links for the whitelisted RSS Feeds.

Currently, the default (false) is active which leads to http://i.imgur.com/6Du2BNG.png ( screenshot; taken from the feed on page https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:RSS#Example 16.03.2013 07:20 local time (20130316062009 UTC)  )

As similar switch ( $wgRSSAllowImageTag ) can allow <img> tags, but I don't know, if we need this at them moment.

Correction: Of course, I meant version RSS feed (Version 2.20 20130303)
