Description Erik Zachte 2013-03-18 12:44:38 UTC
Reports at
http://stats.wikimedia.org/wikimedia/squids/ and http://stats.wikimedia.org/wikimedia/squids/SquidReportsCountriesLanguagesVisitsEdits.htm
offer many different breakdowns of our total traffic.

All report should mention ignored/discarded/filtered out events. Doing this by counting leftovers in an 'other' category allows us to keep an eye on growing fall-out. Say if 1% is in 'Other' this month and 3% next month, we need to investigate, maybe some data mishap occurred.

Also having all reports as much as is meaningful provide a full breakdown of all traffic (all page views or all edits or all server requests) helps to sanity check output.

Maintenance on squid log based reports is on hold, pending replacement or restructuring in a HADOOP context
