Description Antoine "hashar" Musso (WMF) 2013-03-21 07:18:32 UTC
When upgrading the Gerrit package on a labs instance, I noticed it attempted to delete the `gerrit2` user which does not play well when Gerrit is running:

Preparing to replace gerrit 2.5.2-1277-gca0bdda-1 (using .../gerrit_2.5.2-1636-g353e384-1_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement gerrit ...
Removing user: gerrit2
Removing user `gerrit2' ...
userdel: user gerrit2 is currently logged in
/usr/sbin/deluser: `/usr/sbin/userdel gerrit2' returned error code 8. Exiting.

Yeah, the package is crap. We should probably just remove the bit about user/group adding, and let puppet handle that for now.
Comment 2 Chad H. 2013-11-22 19:31:42 UTC
We took this junk out of the package.

We won't use the package much longer anyway :p
