Description Maarten Dammers 2013-03-23 13:22:57 UTC
I'm using the api to add a claim to https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1427. I get an error:

RuntimeError: API query error: {u'servedby': u'mw1136', u'error': {u'info': u'*
A length constraint is triggered for language code "mr".
* There is {{PLURAL:1|
a constraint|constraints}} violation for {{PLURAL:1|description|descriptions}} "
हा इ.स. ११७ त..." for {{PLURAL:1|languag
e code|language codes}} "mr".
', u'code': u'save-failed', u'messages': {u'0': {
u'type': u'error', u'name': u'wikibase-error-constraint-violation-description',
u'parameters': [1, u'mr', u'हा इ.स. ११७ \u092
4...']}, u'html': {u'*': u'

A length constraint is triggered for languag
e code "mr".

There is a constraint violation for description "ह\
u093e इ.स. ११७ त..." for language code "mr".

'}}}}

The 'mr' description looks very long, but it's already there. Why do I get an api error now? Manual save works.
