I would propose not to end title of the image by dot. Title is not a phrase and most of the titles should not be ended by dot. This is unecessary messing Wikipedia's typography. Of course, sometimes it is a phrase ended by dot, but in the case of upload wizzard it wont be so often. Example: Upload Wizzard - Use - To use the file in a wiki, copy this text into a page: [[File:Gothaj na papíře.jpg|thumb|Gothajský salám na papíře.]] Better: [[File:Gothaj na papíře.jpg|thumb|Gothajský salám na papíře]]
Thanks for your report. I see you are the uploader of this file, did you enter the name of the file to be "Gothajský salám na papíře" or "Gothajský salám na papíře." ?

But you are probably talking about Description of the file. Description of the file is a "sentence" so I ended the sentence by full stop.
Considering that the syntax we give is for a thumb - i.e. "float right (in English), add border, make smaller, and add a caption" - the text in question is actually a caption for the image, which would make sense as a full sentence. Right? Besides, it's only a first-pass suggestion for a caption. If you want another description, nothing's stopping you - in fact we expect people to switch the caption around. But we certainly cannot see into the linguistic minutiae of every language we support to tell whether it would be preferable to have a full stop at the end of the caption or not. And really, we'll often have descriptions with multiple sentences - should we only accept the first one? I'm going to suggest INVALID on this one, but I'm not marking it until Juan has a second to reply to my concerns. Thanks for your report, though! I tried to upload a file and haven't observed that an extra dot was appended to the description I typed...

Previously I thought it is title, but you are saying caption. And as you are not taking in from file name but from description, it make sence, there might be sentences ended up by full stop. Regarding this explanation, I think I can pull it down.
