Interestingly I can get it elsewhere

success https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Sport_in_Melbourne

length issue?

Other thought is that it is not findable by an array of attempted searches at WD. Tried lots of means to try and find things to manually merge duplicate, however, completely unfathomable how to find a category description in WD, either looks for WD category namespace, or just decides it is all too hard, item disambiguation fails. <shrug>

Oh, I have been politely hit upside to the head, some of those are traditional interwikis that have not been imported. The prime example where I started having the issue is

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Athletes_%28track_and_field%29_at_the_1956_Summer_Olympics

and presumption has followed after that. Would explain why I am not finding the in a search, so please totally ignore comment 3 (explained!)

They are showing up for me. The most likely issue is that the page needed to be purged (add ?action=purge to the URL). We're aware of that problem and it should fix itself soon. So I am closing this bug for now. If you see articles where a purge does not help please reopen this bug report. Thanks!
