Description Nemo 2013-03-31 17:54:28 UTC
As an experienced translator translator, I want to always be able to immediately open the translation editor for a message: wherever my cursor is and whatever the scrolling status; without hovering the message to summon the edit icon, finding it and clicking it.
In current situation the icon is always very small; and may be extremely far on wide screens, or outside the screen with normal screens and medium-to-long messages (see attachment 12012 [details] and imagine it without full screen mode).
Comment 1 Santhosh Thottingal 2013-04-01 03:42:44 UTC
You can click on the message row to open the editor. Did not you notice that?
Comment 2 Santhosh Thottingal 2013-04-01 03:43:38 UTC
Or are you referring to the proofread mode specifically?

Yes. I see that click works in page mode, so I guess it's an oversight; changing summary.
Comment 4 Santhosh Thottingal 2013-04-01 11:35:51 UTC
In proofread mode, default action is proofread. I am not sure whether clicking on message row should open an editor. Leaving this to Pau's comments.
Comment 5 Pau Giner 2013-04-01 12:07:43 UTC
As Santhosh commented, editing a message is the main action in "list" and "page" views, but it is not on proofread.

For profreading we don't want to interfer with actions such as direct text selection, or the editor to distract from the main task.

The fact that both actions (accept translation and edit) are on the same column, should avoid excesive mouse movements in regular use.

Then why not double click as I originally asked?

That's only part of the problem, though.
