Wikimedia Bugzilla is closed!

If an instructor accidentally includes trailing spaces in an enrolment token, this can cause confusion and also is not handled correctly by the course page.

For users with the relevant user rights, the enrolment token is visible in the Summary table of a course page, and it links straight to enrolment using that token. However, trailing spaces are not visible do not work through the link, so clicking the link results in an invalid token error. And it is not very apparent to users why the token is incorrect, as cutting and pasting or entering it manually will not include the trailing space either.

I suggest that whitespace simply be stripped off of any enrolment token upon course page creation/update.
