Description Quim Gil 2013-04-20 04:57:29 UTC
1. Type ''Notiver'''s with the classic editor and save the page.

2. Edit with visual editor. Don't touch anything and save.

Now you have: ''<nowiki>Notiver'</nowiki>''s

Visually it's the same, no problem. But why adding <nowiki> (apparently) useless extra tags?
Comment 1 James Forrester 2013-04-20 15:09:13 UTC
This is Parsoid behaviour - it's overly-keen to add <nowiki>s (which doesn't break things) rather than the other way around (which does), but yes, we want to avoid this if possible. Marking as a dupe.

Note that this might also be a duplicate of bug 47434 if the nowiki was added in unmodified content.
