Description Robby 2013-04-21 06:25:31 UTC
Could you please enable the extension collection on lb wikipedia.
Comment 1 Andre Klapper 2013-04-22 07:52:07 UTC
Hi Robby. For any configuration change, we require a local consensus. Could you discuss the matter on the Village pump page of your wiki (like https://lb.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:De_Staminee or any other appropriate place) to confirm that this change is wanted by the community, and paste the link to the discussion here?

For more information about how to request these kinds of changes, please see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Requesting_wiki_configuration_changes and feel free to forward that link to others who may want similar changes made in the future. Thanks!

Hi Andre. Many thanks for the useful information. In order to get local consensus I've started a vote on our village pump under: http://lb.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:De_Staminee#Ofst.C3.ABmmen_iwwer_d.27Aschalte_vun_der_.27Buch_Fonctioun.27_.28Extension:Collection.29_op_der_lb-Wikipedia

Please inform me if a specific quorum is required on such a vote respectivla in such a discussion.

Best regards.

Not that I'm aware of. I'd wait for a week and then ping in this bug report again and paste the final result here, plus if possible please replace the "shellpolicy" keyword here by "shell" then. Thanks!

This is mainly let at the discretion of each project. It's only for potential damaging actions (like very heavy editing restriction measures) or if we have suspicions a vote isn't coherent with the regular project's standards we could raise an objection.
Comment 5 Robby 2013-05-01 14:11:45 UTC
After a discussion/vote on our local village pump [ http://lb.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:De_Staminee#Ofst.C3.ABmmen_iwwer_d.27Aschalte_vun_der_.27Buch_Fonctioun.27_.28Extension:Collection.29_op_der_lb-Wikipedia] 9 active wikipedians participated of whom 8 supported while one was neutral to the proposal (He seems not convinced of the utility of this feature) while no one opposed.

So I suppose by now that the requirement of local consensus can be considered as achieved.
