Description Tomasz Finc 2013-04-26 23:34:06 UTC
The app correctly showed me a previously used category but did not save after tapping check and save.
Comment 1 Tomasz Finc 2013-04-26 23:36:09 UTC
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Testing3.jpeg should have had a category but does not.
Comment 2 Brion Vibber 2013-04-26 23:46:49 UTC
Looks OK to me, has "Testing" cat. don't forget the update happens in the background now and may take a few minutes...
Comment 3 Tomasz Finc 2013-04-27 00:06:23 UTC
Will test again and wait a bit longer
Comment 4 Brion Vibber 2013-05-13 20:02:40 UTC
Invalid'ing this since they do get done, just slowly.

Comment 6 Brion Vibber 2013-06-05 19:08:47 UTC
Reopening since we keep getting complaints about this behavior.

We really should trigger a modifications sync *immediately* after the image upload completes. Bonus points if we can provide a visual indicator that changes are pending.
Comment 7 Dan Garry 2014-09-22 20:30:37 UTC
As the Mobile Apps Team is focussing on the new, native Wikipedia app, the Commons app is no longer being maintained by the Wikimedia Foundation. I am WONTFIXing all open Commons app bugs to reflect that we will not be spending time fixing them.
