Wikibase linkitem JavaScript tool's input (the tool which is activated in Wikipedia for interwiki's input) is Case sensitive and it shows errors for aliases like this examples:

en                                 en
template:foo     instead of        Template:foo


Also it doesn't recognize locale namespace aliases for example:


fa                                fa
Template:foo     instead of       الگو:foo

Probably a problem with the repo wbgetentities API. Going to have a look sometime.

Didn't realize this bug is rather old... https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/71545 should already have fixed this.
