The phrase "In the Northeast, supporters of" appears in a <pre> in the Parsoid output but doesn't in the rendering. I'm guessing this is because the original wikitext looks like:

</ref> In the [[Isan|Northeast]], supporters of
Abhisit's government issued threats against protesters

(note the space after </ref>)
