Test case:

1. Edit above URL.
2. Add a space somewhere in the "Denkmäler nach Straßen geordnet: A|B|C..." box.
3. Press 'Review and save'

Getting the error "Unsuccessful request: Error contacting the Parsoid server"

It works with a similar large page like "Deutschland".

This seems to be because Varnish is imposing a 5-second timeout on POST requests. We're trying to find a way to configure a higher timeout.

-p sess_timeout=60 (or some other timeout larger than the default 5 seconds) in /etc/default/varnish should likely work around this issue for now, as sess_timout is used while receiving POST data from clients. See https://www.varnish-cache.org/trac/ticket/849.

The POST size issue is now fixed, so large pages like [[:en:Barack Obama]] are not editable. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Denkm%C3%A4ler_im_K%C3%B6lner_Stadtteil_Altstadt-Nord exposes another issue though, which is tracked in bug 47952.

Bug 47952 is fixed in production, so closing this as fixed too. Please open a new bug or reopen this one if there are other timeout issues.
