But new user has been created.

Bug 47992 is fixed now.

However, when creating a new user I get this error trying in Google Chrome 24:

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&action=submitlogin&type=signup&returnto=Main+Page. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

When logging in with my user, I don't get any error and it works.
Tried with test09328749843:test123.

Andre reported it to me this afternoon with bug 47992 .

The reason was that extension1 does not exist though it was being used for the Echo extension.
