Description lars.randevik 2013-04-30 23:51:12 UTC
A rather wide grey line is stretching across the page in wikipedia from the Earth symbol at the left to the "Log out" llink to the right, partly obcsuring the tabes for article/talk/edit etc. The talk, sandbox, preferences, etc, links on the right hand side just barely escape being obscured; they are directly under the grey line. The logon name also escapes being obscured; it is directly above it.

Btw, I did not intend to create an account here with my email-address as a name! How did that happen? The real name box was marked "optional". Could someone please correct this, as it was not my idea to out myself, but report a problem.

Thanks.

I intented to attach a screen shot, but it doesn't seem to work.

How do I correct the typos in my original post? I'm not able to edit it.
Comment 2 Alex Monk 2013-05-01 00:00:43 UTC
You can't edit previous comments - this is not a wiki. Use the attachment tool to add screenshots.

I would suggest just making a new account or asking one of the wiki's bureaucrats to rename your account.

What attachment tool?

And I forgot to mention that I have monobook appearance set in my preferences.

How do I ask a bureaucrat? Can't you do it for me?

Thanks.

Creating a new account with my wikipedia name will almost certainly out me, if that hasn't happend already. Please delete this account asap.

Thanks.

Look at the 'Add an attachment' link

I don't know, it varies per-wiki. No, of course not.

Accounts cannot be deleted.

Ok then. That was the last bug I ever reported. Goodbye.
Comment 8 Andre Klapper 2013-05-02 12:34:54 UTC
Hi lars.randevik,
unfortunately this report is not very useful because it does not describe the problem well. If you have time and can still reproduce the problem, please read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and add a more useful description to this report (browser information and browser version), plus a screenshot via the "Add an attachment".

With regard to issues with the bug management tool (Bugzilla) which is not a wiki, bug 148 is about the requirement to provide an email address.
Comment 9 Ryan Kaldari 2013-06-12 23:58:01 UTC
Most of the rendering bugs with monobook have been fixed. Since I can't reproduce this bug, I'm going to mark WORKSFORME.

Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
