Currently when trying to enrol the user will get a success message though not be enrolled.

This might only be the case for certain cases. Currently confirmed for a logged in user already enrolled in another course.

Also applies for disenroll. Looks like the ep_users_per_course table is not updated.

Think I found the issue - some very important method is no longer getting called due to changes in core. Leaky abstractions do indeed sink software...

Patch was merged mid-June.
