Description sch577 2013-05-16 17:25:20 UTC
There is a problem with this file:

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:ISS_Expedition_16_patch.png

It is within the new 50 MP limit, but thumbnails only get rendered till 270 px. Beyond the server says "Error generating thumbnail Error creating thumbnail:" without a clear notification.
The threshold seems to be wavering, maybe dependent server load and original file size.

Most likely an OOM

Should this be duped to bug 47311 (or some other deploy vips bug)

That's bug 54744 but still: The above PNG is working fine now.
