[1] was used to verify the described behaviour but it seems that the issue described could not be corroborate.

[1] uses MW (1.22alpha (c834f03) 04:35, 16 May 2013) and SMW 1.9 ((40a2db1) 18:32, 15 May 2013 )

uses MW 1.22alpha may cause other extensions problems

I'm trying to use the previous version of SMW & DataValues
Comment 7 MWJames 2013-05-18 03:25:36 UTC
Not sure what is wrong on your setup but something is wrong with the language file your invoking because on all these places where their is a "placeholder" it means that the Message object could not find a translatable text for the given key.

I can see that you are using zh-CN as language variant maybe use [1] to see if messages are missing for your language variant.

Comment 8 Steven Zhong 2013-05-18 03:48:16 UTC
I do not quite understand on the technical details, perhaps the the latest SMW does not support MW1.20.5 , because the previous version of SMW & DataValues were rolledback, now everything is ok.
Comment 9 MWJames 2013-05-18 03:52:29 UTC
SMW (from git master) supports MW 1.19, 1.20, 1.21, and the latest 1.22 as seen in [1]

Comment 10 Steven Zhong 2013-05-18 03:57:35 UTC
SMW 1.9 (40a2db1) for MW 1.20 is Ok.

Do you me mean that SMW will not support zh-CN (after SMW 1.9 (40a2db1))?

Thanks again!
Comment 11 Steven Zhong 2013-05-18 04:07:12 UTC
In addition , SMW 1.9 (51/64451/1 master) for MW1.20.5 still has a problem, I just used the SMW previous version (40a2db1), the problem which I mentioned above still need to be resolved.

No, this is not what I wrote.

In general, "Language" and "SMW" are more or less independent from each other.

Languages are maintained using [1] which means that if a particular "placeholder" is missing a translation, it is up to the community to add those missing translations. SMW-core only provides the English translation and local communities are urged to take care of the adoption for their languages.

For more information about how languages are maintained, please contact Karsten Hoffmeyer [2]
