To reproduce: Begin to upload multiple images. Give the first some categories Remove them by blanking Copy details to the rest of the images, using the tool provided Each of those images has the unwanted categories.
Could you please elaborate: You only provided categories for the first image and didn't copy them over to the rest of the images? which tool?

Confirmed: 1: Upload a batch of 2 images using UW 2: In the details step, add two categories to the first upload 3: Remove the text that you entered into those textboxes. 4: Choose the "Copy information to all uploads below ..." section at the bottom of the first upload 5: Check at least "Copy categories" 6: Press the copy button 7: The 2nd file will receive two categories, with the text that you have previously entered.
Its strange that I no longer see the 'Remove' button besides the category input.
