Currently fixed properties [1] have to be defined within the fixed properties array in SMW_SQLStore3.php [2] which is not upgrade proof. Thus it would be nice to be able to set them up within LocalSettings.php

Changing importance to high since the current behaviour is probably the biggest obstacle for using fixed properties.

Just a +1 on this. I *think* this could be a big win for me on WikiApiary but the setup is too worrisome right now.

Thanks Karsten for persuading me to do this. 

I have also improved the documentation (see SemanticMediaWiki.settings.php) and this should be easy to try out now and amazingly its still working for me ;)
