Hi. Please: change project's name from "ВікіНовини" to "Вікіновини", 4th namespace name change to "Вікіновини", current leave as an alias; 5th namespace name change to "Обговорення Вікіновин", current leave as an alias. (all names without quotes, sure) Set namespace aliases: Alias ! Namespace id ----------------------- ВН | 4 К | 14 Д | 12 І | 104 be aware: all letters are Cyrillic - even if Latin letter looks the same it's another Unicode char.
If we change project name, also should be changed grammar forms of project name: 'ukwikinews' => array( 'uk' => array( 'genitive' => array( 'Вікіновини' => 'Вікіновин' ), 'dative' => array( 'Вікіновини' => 'Вікіновинам' ), 'accusative' => array( 'Вікіновини' => 'Вікіновини' ), 'locative' => array( 'Вікіновини' => 'Вікіновинах' ), 'instrumental' => array( 'Вікіновини' => 'Вікіновинами' ), ) ),

See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:$wgSitename. Where exactly would you want to see those déclinaisons of project names? The actual configuration file - http://noc.wikimedia.org/conf/highlight.php?file=InitialiseSettings-labs.php - doesn't contain any of these information.
At least genitive case is very important and many interface messages are using it e.g. statistics-edits now says "Кількість редагувань з моменту установки ВікіНовини" but should say after the fix "Кількість редагувань з моменту установки Вікіновин" and it's not the only example. Other cases are less important than genitive but should be setted too - as I remember while translating the interface at twn I saw messages with them.
Erm, what's the progress?

Changing the sitename is fine, as is namespaces. Though, for the namespace one would have to be the "default" and the rest would just be aliases..

That's not for namespaces that's for the name to show correct in messages that use something like {{grammar:genitive|{{SITENAME}}}} (perhaps, I'm doing mistake in syntax now)
Can't this be solved in https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-core/blob/master/languages/classes/LanguageUk.php ?
What's the state of this?
