Description Purodha Blissenbach 2013-06-01 16:50:25 UTC
When searching for pages, I more often than not find myself opening that pages only to click "edit" next - usually several in a row, e.g. for updating or adding links on certain anchor words, etc.

In my opinion having to download a page is a waste of all of my time, bandwidth, server processing ressources, and plain unnecessary.

Thus please consider adding (edit) links to the individual search results - possibly subject to a preferences setting.

This does not sound like a common usecase to me (editing before even reading the article) and like unnecessary user interface clutter, so I propose WONTFIX here, but I'm happy to be proven wrong. :)

I agree. Let's not clutter the search results page with edit links.
