Created attachment 12496 [details] screen shot with an arrow pointing to where the link could be added. While using the special page:translate tool to mark up a new blog post, I marked it for translation, and was then taken to Special:Page Translation. From there, the next step in my workflow is to notify translators. I wonder if it would be easy to add a link on Special:Page Translation right after the notice that the marked page is ready for translation? I'm thinking a "Notify Translators" button somewhere, as in the attachment. From what Siebrand told me, this needs to integrate with another extension (one needs to go from Translate to TransationNotifications), so we will want to check if the latter is installed before displaying a link.
Change 76115 had a related patch set uploaded by Siebrand: Add "notify translators" link when marking page for translation https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/76115
Change 76117 had a related patch set uploaded by Siebrand: Accept article ID as default setting for translatable page https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/76117
The two above patch sets should implement this feature. Given Translate is installed And TranslationNotifications is installed When a page is marked for translation And the user that marks for translation also has rights to notify translators Then Special:PageTranslation will contain a the message "You can [notify translators] about this page." than when clicked leads to Special:NotifyTranslators with the page that was just marked for translation preselected in the form on that page.
That's awesome, Siebrand! Thanks for making it so.
