If I activate the option "showhiddencats" and I do a preview on a page with hidden categories, I get two lists of hidden categories: the first one after the "templates used by this page" list and the second one after the non-hidden categories list. That’s imho unlogical, the list after templates should not be displayed if this option is on.

Well its slightly illogical, I think it is better than the alternative. The categories at the bottom of the page should show like they would on page view. I also don't think we should hide the list under the edit box just because the preference is enabled. (This is of course rather debatable. It would be visible on any mw install (that's remotely recent. like in the last 5 years)
