The favicon for Wikitech has two problems: * It doesn't match the logo mark (the red/blue border is missing). Not sure if this is on purpose, if so there this symbol should be made available in general, and not hacked only for the favicon[1] * It is of very low resolution (16x16) which looks pixelated on retina displays and/or browsers that display it at 32x32. The one good thing about it that could be worse – in that it is properly anti-aliased (not pixelated like the tools.wmflabs.org favicon - bug 49351, which btw, does have the red/blue border around it - consistency) [1] https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:SVG_Wikimedia_Labs_logos https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikimedia_Labs_logos
https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/68291/
BTW: that favicon matches the logo (it includes the red/blue border) and comes in multiple layers: 16x16, 32x32 and 48x48 pixels.
merged the change and pulled on tin/fenari. docroot/bits/favicon/labs.ico | Bin 0 -> 15086 bytes docroot/bits/favicon/toollabs.ico | Bin 0 -> 15086 bytes then i copied the labs.ico manually to favicon.ico in /var/www/ on virt0 (for now).
Closing this bug per Coren doing the same for bug 49351.
