When I first saw the lock icon next to the input field on the new login page, I assumed it meant the current page is secure, not that the link is to a secure page. (Not really a bug so much as feedback)

Personally I think an unlocked icon would make more sense, since when the icon is so close to the input box, I assume its modifying the input box (saying this box is secure), and not a link to the secure version. Unlocked icon would say to me "This box is unsecure, go to secure site to fix it". OTOH, maybe I'm just weird, and most people interpret the icon differently.
Is this still an issue? Current login form as used on Wikimedia sites seems to direct straight over to HTTPS and I don't see a lock icon on any links there.
Should no longer be an issue since they all seem redirect to https anyway, indeed.
