Description Lydia Pintscher 2013-06-17 13:24:15 UTC
When I am editing an old revision of a page and then view the diff before saving it is the diff between the current version of the page and my edited version it seems. I was expecting to see the diff between the old revision and my edited version.
Comment 1 James Forrester 2013-06-17 17:02:36 UTC
This is the same behaviour as the wikitext editor. :-)

Theoretically we could have diff-against-current and diff-against-starting-point, but that could be a bit messy.

Do you think the message ("review your changes" in VE against "review changes" in wikitext) is confusing and should be changed?
Comment 2 Lydia Pintscher 2013-06-18 08:04:14 UTC
Oh I wasn't aware the wikitext-editor is doing the same. Then I guess you can close it. It should probably be consistent.

And yes the message could probably be improved.
