Is there a way to integrate the terms in Mediawiki to a 3rd party software that checks for terminology consistency in documents

We are thinking about Acrolinx, http://www.acrolinx.com/terminologymanagement.html , but we haven’t implemented it yet.
This application is used to ensure consistency of usage, not to provide the definitions.
I envision Acrolinx getting the list of words to check from the glossary we are creating or at least us having the option to export the list to Excel or CSV so we can import it into Acrolinx.
We provide the content for online help in the SIS applications so I don’t think it is feasible security-wise for the words to link back to Mediawiki.
One possibility, though would be for us to develop the glossary in XML and have Mediawiki use the same XML files as we use for its source.
Speaking of that, what IS the best way to provide the content to Mediawiki without having to type it all in?

I think the answer to this is generally no. Though, I'm not sure bugzilla is the best place invoke a response to a question like this, and as such would sugget to use our mailing lists [1].

Any and all integration with "3rd party software", even more so for non free (in any definition) or propitiatory.

To import pages to MediaWiki programatically (via HTTP requests), the API [2] would probably be your best bet, though we do have some maintenance scripts that could be used for automated editing.

I'm still confused what exactly you're trying to do, and as such, how MediaWiki could be useful in this process. "consistency of usage" is quite vague. Are you wanting to be able to say (in English), "display the definition of 'foo'", and have the definition displayed at that point?

Hi sam. This does not sound like something is wrong in the code of MediaWiki (a so-called "bug"), but instead like a support request (how to change settings etc., questions how to do this or that, or discussing vague ideas).
As bugzilla.wikimedia.org is only for specific bug reports and enhancement requests, please use https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Support_desk for support requests. Thanks!
