See this diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Uganda&diff=561452947&oldid=560332103 adding a sentence to the lede section saved properly, but also had unwanted behavior of cutting off the first letter of the first word of a random paragraph in a later section (removed 'l' from "Lake Kyoga" under 'geography'). Firefox 21.0 on Ubuntu 12.04.
Also added some quotes to refnames and removed a bracket from an image link later on.
(In reply to comment #1) > Also added some quotes to refnames That's "just" normalisation, which we can fix (by making sure that what we send Parsoid is exactly the same, so it leaves it alone); see bug 50071. > and removed a bracket from an image link later on. Yeah, this is very not good, and really hard to understand how it happens. Roan, thoughts?
Tried editing another, later section in the same article and got this: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Uganda&diff=561456536&oldid=561456189 the changes I intended to make were made (added a link, copyediting) but spaces around template dates were added (more normalization) and the same initial letter (the 'l' of lake) and bracket from the same image file were removed. VisEd *really* doesn't like something about that paragraph!
Can't reproduce in master yet.
I believe we have now fixed this; please re-open if it recurs.
