Screen Shot

Hi,
I run a closed wiki. Since updating to 1.21.1 the layout is not correct at the top of the page when you first enter the site. The login prompt is partially obscured. After I login everything is fine.

I have attached a sreen shot.

Hi Roger,
thanks for taking the time to report this!
(For future reference, feel free to attach images as image files - no need to embed them into a Word document.)

I tried http://wiki.mraths.org.uk/?useskin=monobook and http://wiki.mraths.org.uk/?useskin=vector and those pages display correctly.

The "p-personal" object with "Personal tools" (that <h5> heading is currently hidden behind the logo, while this has changed into a <h3> heading in the latest MediaWiki version) normally would not be displayed.
Same for the "p-cactions" object with the heading "Views".

My very wild guess: So this looks like some CSS customizations from the past which interfere now (e.g. that a new rule to not show that <h3> heading does not work for you, because in your wiki it is still a <h5> heading and hence the rule is not applied).

So currently this does not look like an issue in the code of MediaWiki itself, but has to do with customizations.

Could you ask on http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Support_desk for support instead? Thanks!

Andre,
Thanks.

I just checked and the reason for the apparent bug was that the title was in fact not a header but a text with large font. It had been like it for many years and worked fine.

I changed it to a header and it now it is OK.
