Seems that there is a dependency on this module? When importing without it I get a fatal error.

More details, please. When importing what exactly, and what exactly is the fatal error?

Yeh you are right it seems I enabled $wgScribuntoUseGeSHi due to misreading the docs. I've updated the docs instead.
