When I'm using a really slow network and the input tool finally loads after I started typing, text inputted previously (before input tool startup) gets cleared.
Thanks for your report, Liangent. Can you please have a look at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and update with report with more information that will allow us to look into this more closely? Thanks.
Repro: 1. Use a slow network 2. Open a page 3. When the search box appears, start typing in it 4a. At some time ULS gets loaded, text previously typed appears missing It may be another case: 4b. At some time ULS gets loaded, text previously typed gets selected, and my next keypress clears it. I'm not using that network now so it's not easy for me to try it again.
I tried with very slow network with latest Chrome in incognito mode: sudo tc qdisc add dev wlan0 root netem delay 1000ms 100ms 25% * In my devwiki IME is there immediately when I click search. * In ta.wikipedia.org clicking search bar provides no visible clue immediately, but if I start typing then after few seconds my text appears there and does not get selected or removed.
I was noted that slow can also mean low bandwidth as opposed to high latency, which I was testing.

So your text doesn't appear before ULS load?
(In reply to comment #5) > So your text doesn't appear before ULS load? That seems to be the case. I cannot reproduce your bug with the details provided.
Liangent, is this still happening/can you still reproduce this? We have not been able to reproduce per comment 6. I hope you can say it no longer happens, we so we can close "Worksforme" :).
