Description heikobmail-bugs 2013-07-09 07:32:30 UTC
When trying to update Mediawiki to the latest security release, running the update.php script deletes page entrys from the database and user accounts that should stay in the database

Hi heikobmail-bugs,
unfortunately this report is not very useful because it does not describe the problem well. If you have time and can still reproduce the problem, please read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and add a more useful description to this report.
Comment 2 Andre Klapper 2013-07-09 09:29:04 UTC
This needs more information to reproduce. Is this a public wiki, so I could check Special:Version?
Comment 3 heikobmail-bugs 2013-07-11 16:18:50 UTC
Hey, sorry for not being precise enough. The wiki isn't public so you cannot acces the Special:Version page.

I'll provide more information in the next days. Sorry for the delay.

If you happened to have it, the text output of update.php from the run where stuff was deleted would be useful. It would also be useful to know which fields specifically you are referring to, as well as which database backend you are using.

-----

The only thing that should be removed during this update, is the contents of user.user_options should be moved to user_properties table, and user.user_options column should be deleted
Comment 5 heikobmail-bugs 2013-07-15 07:10:01 UTC
Hey,

when redoing the update in th evirtual machine, I found out, that I just was using an old database dump.

I close this bug as invalid, because it was my failure.

Sorry
