Page where issue occures: https://be-x-old.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%93%D1%80%D1%8D%D0%B3%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%8B%D1%8F%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D1%96_%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BB%D1%8F%D0%BD%D0%B4%D0%B0%D1%80 When I change the first character of the link text by selecting it first and then typing, chess symbol ♙ replaces the original character. Due to bug 50678 not being resolved yet, I tried this way and revealed such behaviour. For the point, it's no matter how many characters are selected, chess symbol arrives if the first character in the link text is included in the selection. It seems to take place in the lead part of the article only. When I change links in the tables and other sections of the page, it all looks fine. Worth noticing: after I enter the editing mode and change the link in the first table header (text: Апошні дзень Юліянскага календару), it works like a charm, but as I press Ctrl+Z, it turns to «Апошні дзень ♙ліянскага календару», and I have to press Ctrl+Z once again to fix it back to the original state.
