Description Liz 2013-07-10 18:22:35 UTC
At http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AAFMAA we are unable to update the logo image & 'references' section.

In the back end, the updated content has been updated and appears in the text box (& updated image source) & when previewed. However, we are unable to remove old content (old AAFMAA logo & 1-10 in reflist).

Old content isn't visible in back end, but appears on page.

Please advise.

Going through the changes since June 20, I don't see any attempt to replace the logo file File:AAFMAA-Logo-SVG-translucent.svg. Looking at the file history of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AAFMAA-Logo-SVG-translucent.svg itself (e.g. overwriting the logo by uploading a new version with the same filename), I don't see any activity either.
So there is no issue in the MediaWiki codebase, and I'd recommend http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Uploading_images instead.

Summarizing this (and seeing the numerous forth-and-back edits), I don't see any misbehavior of the software, but instead a request for some editing help and support. This should be brought up on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Help_desk instead of bugzilla.wikimedia.org, hence I'm closing this ticket.

On an related note, I'd like to point out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:COI and also the option to use a private Sandbox to get more acquaintained with editing first.
