./lcall.sh ./gva.tcl works, maybe something is missing on the grid nodes?

Try increasing your memory limit?

Increased memory limit to 1G, which seems to help. Leaving it open until problem really does not reoccur.

Closing since this is the cause, and fix is 'increase memory limit' and that is documented now.
