Description Jon 2013-07-15 18:09:45 UTC
I am seeing an extremely common pattern when the heading is not shown on the main page. Usually this is done by some css that hides it.

It strikes me that this should be configurable in the config or via a magic word rather than done in a CSS rule which punishes every user.

(Not sure about whether this is the right product.)
Comment 3 Jon 2013-07-15 18:34:32 UTC
This does so via CSS. I notice meta wiki and enwiki do not use this extension but instead add rules to Common.css

This suggests to me that the parser should have better support by simply not adding it in the HTML...

So the request is instead "non-CSS setting to make HTML for #firstHeading not appear on main page" as the extension in comment 2 is not what you want?
