Fatal error: Call to protected method DatabaseUpdater::purgeCache() from context
 'UpdateMediaWiki' in /wiki/maintenance/update.php on line 170

I receive this message when I run php update.php. Is this means the upgrade failed?

Please provide more information to reproduce, for example from which version to which version you upgrade. Which PHP and Database versions do you use?

nginx/1.2.5 php_version5.3.23 MySQL 5.5.28-debug

Using APC

I am tring which update.php work for this bug report https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51514

For some reason update form 1.20.6 to 1.20.6 will receive this error message.

Wondering if http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:How_to_debug can provide more information, e.g. a trace.

Visibility of DatabaseUpdater::purgeCache was changed with Gerrit change #28034, assuming that is now fixed.
