Description Derk-Jan Hartman 2013-07-24 12:51:21 UTC
It seems the preference: 'Enable simplified search bar' doesn't actually change anything for users anymore. It always shows the 'simplified' search bar ? If it is not user configurable, then the option should not be available to users in the preferences.

Euh weird.

I'm positive this option looked 'checked' for me initially, but I had the 'simplified' look regardless (and never remember using anything else actually).

I unchecked, saved, still simplified look. (Filed bug report)

Now I checked it again, and suddenly I have the "go" and "Search" buttons.

Perhaps I had a 1 value stored in my prefs, that shows as "enabled" in the HTML, but was serverside evaluated as "1" != "true" ? Or the other way around of course.
