Description Bartosz Dziewoński 2013-07-30 00:44:17 UTC
Changesets where you are the author of latest patchset, but not the owner, are not shown in "Outgoing reviews" section. This makes them harder to track.

Examples: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/36391/ (me vs Wizardist), https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/52922/ (Krenair vs Victor Vasiliev).

I'm not actually marked as the author in that changeset, but I agree we should be able to take ownership of changes.

Dashboards (like „My Changes”) are just plain, grouped searches. But
as Gerrit does not store who's the author or committer of a patch set,
so we cannot query for that directly. Hence, we currently cannot
create such dashboards. Taking current upstream's focus, that isn't
likely to change soon.

I use the star to track changes that I am not the owner of. This works
quite well for me.

If you want to, you can even include starred changes in a custom
dashboard, as in

  https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/dashboard/?Outgoing%20reviews=%28is:open%20owner:self%29%20OR%20is:starred&Incoming%20reviews=is:open%20reviewer:self%20-owner:self&Recently%20closed=is:closed%20owner:self%20-age:4w%20limit:10

That dashboard includes starred changes in the “Outgoing reviews”
section.
