Comment 1 John Mark Vandenberg 2013-09-30 11:22:58 UTC
Thank you for the bug report lunarjam.mcgahan@gmail.com.

Extracting the problem description out of the attachment:
----

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Meschin

in VE

The footnote

This is sometimes referred to as the lordship of Coupland.[6]

becomes

This is sometimes referred to as the lordship of Coupland.[1]

The ref moves from position 6 to position 1.

All of the refs change from using lower alpha to using numbers

i.e.

a b c Keats-Rohan Domesday Descendants p. 601

becomes

x.1 x.2 x.3 Keats-Rohan Domesday Descendants p. 601
----

I believe the second aspect is bug 49346.

I havent seen an existing bug report for the references being re-ordered in VE.
Comment 2 John Mark Vandenberg 2013-09-30 14:40:41 UTC
The reordering aspect appears to be a side effect of the underlying problem in bug 53777.
Comment 3 John Mark Vandenberg 2013-09-30 14:43:25 UTC
Sorry; I meant bug 50474
