I have uploaded loads of photos, but lately some photos can't be uploaded using the "easy" UploadWizard. I uploaded these two successfully: *http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Malm%C3%B6_Arena_ESC2013_01.jpg *http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Malm%C3%B6_Arena_ESC2013_entrance_01.jpg But these two just kept loading forever (on the Upload file-page): *http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Malm%C3%B6_Arena_ESC2013_02.jpg *http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Malm%C3%B6_Arena_ESC2013_entrance_02.jpg I managed to upload the last two using the old uploader. No problems at all. I have no idea what the difference in the files might be. I am using the latest version of Chrome, and now I am trying Firefox, but it seems to be the same problem for me there.
I was not able to upload http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Linda_Martin_2013_01.jpg using Chrome. It was loading forever. No problems uploading with Firefox though. The cropped versions: *http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Linda_Martin_2013_01_(crop_1).jpg *http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Linda_Martin_2013_01_(crop_2).jpg was no problem uploading using Chrome.
When uploading using the UploadWizard in Firefox, I have a similar problem. Some photos take forever to upload, but I can remove those photos, and just add them again, one at a time after they are uploaded in step number two, and then I can proceed to step number three, adding copyright information to all of them at once.
Do you see any kind of patterns, e.g. file sizes? How "stable" or "fast" is your internet connection?
I see now, that the files that was uploaded without problems are under 5 MB, and the ones causing problems are around 10 and 15 MB. I have a 100/100 connection that works very well.
