They're sortof huge, and each tool pulling its own to NFS would suck.

Just to clarify: You mean repositories of "external" software à la MediaWiki, Pywikipedia, etc.?

All of them :) Essentially a mirror of all repos from gerrit.wikimedia.org on tools.

It's not clear to me that there would be a significant benefit to doing so, and no case has been made for it.
