I tried to add my watchlist on fdc.wikimedia.org in my newsreader feedly and it reports no feed found, though I could see watchlist entries on wiki.

What is "my newsreader feedly"? Are there exact steps to reproduce (with links), so somebody else could follow these steps?

I think this refers to http://www.feedly.com/ and whatever RSS vs. Atom formats they support (Atom > RSS)

Daniel's comment is right. Take the url by clicking Atom feed when watching watchlist and  then add that to your atom/RSS reader software.
